THE LITTLE THINGS…

The Little Things — It’s the little things that make up a year and the years that make up a life. It’s the little things that make up the memories. And I have an abundance of those. My memories, the most important of recent years, include a trip at Christmastime to Germany to see my brand new granddaughter, Gabriella (or Gabbi) and to meet Katja’s family. It was more fun than anything in the world. Memories of doing puzzles, playing Skipbo, and Old Maid with Isabella (my Bella), and memories of games of trains (The Polar Express), car games(Lightning McQueen & Mater), and going on real train rides, with the grandkids & family and the joy of reading bedtime stories and watching them play in the bathtub. You can’t top those memories.

I am Donna, Matt & Lauren’s mom, Katja’s Mother-In-Law, Kris, Gabbi & Bella’s grandma & Danny’s wife. Katja has asked me to contribute to her blog and I am so excited and honored that she asked me to be a part of this new (for me) experience. In the coming weeks, I’ll be writing on different topics that relate to being a Grandma, retired teacher, mom of grown children, volunteer, mentor and a YaYa.
