Undressing Heidi Klum – win the red dress she wore at Oscars 2008

by Katja Presnal on February 25, 2008

Oscars didn’t disappoint.

Lots of old Hollywood glamour, including big and blingy jewelry – and this time also as hair pins, like the one million dollar hair pin Kimora Lee Simmons was wearing. Diamonds were also covering stunning Nicole Kidman, whose 1,399-carat diamond L’Wren Scott necklace was drawing attention from her baby bump.

Blue was the color at SAG Awards, but red was the color of the dresses at the 2008 Oscars.

There is something more than just Hollywood glamour in the red dresses. The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute’s The Heart Truth campaign is raising awareness for women’s heart disease with a fashionable symbol – a red dress.

Heidi Klum showed at the Oscars that her heart is in the right spot – she joined The Heart Truth campaign to Raise Awareness of Women’s Heart Health in her red dress designed by John Galliano of Dior. Several sources are telling that Heidi Klum’s red dress will be auctioned benefitting The Heart Truth, but My Coke Rewards is actually giving you the opportunity to WIN it in their Diet Coke’s Red Dress Sweepstakes. Even if you are not size 2 like Heidi, you should try to win this gorgeous dress – Diet Coke will donate one dollar for each entry to support the women’s heart health and given for the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health.

Other stars also looked amazing in red.

Miley Cyrys in Valentino dress
- old Hollywood glam mixed with young spirit, you did it girl!

Anne Hathaway in her Marchesa dress
- little too much ruffle on the shoulder..?

Katherine Heigl looks fabulous like always in her Escada gown.

It must be such fun to always have someone do your hair , make up and dress you up for the occasion.

Red was definitely in this year!

The red dresses were fun to see but I was a bit shocked at all the black dresses. I felt like it was more of a funeral than a celebration.
