What fun list…and you featured some products that I haven’t seen before!

I think that carseat sunshade by Protect-A-Bub looks interesting, but I wonder if my daughter would like it or not. It looks like it blocks the shade…but also the view.

Great post–we just revised our travel, too and have a few of the same selections (Kojo, Car Valet).

I didn’t know about the air crib–what a great find! I did find the Phil & Ted’s Traveler, which is a 6lb playard with self-inflating mattress (the air crib is more compact, but if someone wants a dual playard/travel crib, that may be a good option) and I’ve used the peapod tent before.

A few other must haves:

1. A micro-gameboy. Stays in my purse only to be used for travel and restaurants. My son gets a new cartridge for any long trips we might take.

2. I keep a box of babywipes in the car even though there are no babies in this house, but good for quick food cleanups, freshening up, etc.

3. Books on CD that everyone can enjoy (Narnia, James and the Giant Peach and other classics).

I've also adopted an approach my mom used (back in the old days where we drove 24 hours in an unairconditioned car with an AM radio to Florida). We got a little treat every "hour" that we didn't ask "are we there yet?". Basically goodybag type stuff you pick up at CVS.
