Huge Giveaway Month! Wooden Toys by Little Alouette

by Katja Presnal on July 21, 2008

In the crazy world of plastic toys in all the colors of the rainbow, it is so refreshing to see old fashioned toys still loved and used. When my kids were younger they played with wooden blocks – which I had used when I was a kid. While the store shelves are piled with plastic toys made in China, the old fashioned wooden goodies are still available for your baby and toddler to enjoy.

One of my favorite wooden toy sellers at Etsy is Little Alouette Shop.

Little Alouette is one family’s joint operation, where mom, dad and a little toy tester have perfected the wooden teethers and wooden blocks. The teethers come in different shapes, easy to hold for little ones. There is something comforting of real wood, and plastic teethers can never replace a good wooden one! The wooden blocks are available in two different sizes. All Little Alouette wooden toys are made of natural unfinished wood and they are safe for your baby to use.

I’m so happy to host a Little Alouette wooden toy giveaway for a set of small wooden blocks and a wooden triangle teether!

ENTER THE GIVEAWAY:
1. Leave a comment with your e-mail address or a link where I can find your e-mail address for a chance to win these two Little Alouette wooden toys. (totaling 23$)

2. Deadline Sunday July 27th 12PM CT.

I submit winners to PRIZEYWinners, and you can also check there to see if you won!

those are very cute. I don’t understand why my husband hasn’t made wooden blocks for either kid yet, since he’s out in the studio all the time working with wood sculpture! oh, well.

The bunting banner is very cute, too!

I hope your trip is going much better now…

I love simple toys. I’m currently trying to weed out all of the electric toys we have and just stick to the basics. I think they are better anyways.

There is nothing like old-fashioned wooden toys! It is so great to see companies like this one cropping up and bringing non-toxic, green, safer toys and accessories. Please enter me in your drawing. Fantastic prizes!

My little one has just started teething and I worry about the things he puts in his mouth. These would be great, especially with all of the things that seem safe but are coated with lead paint.
