I too discovered I had several pulmonary emboli in September of 08 and almost died as a result. I had a friend make me a custom medical ID bracelet as well because I wasn't going to be caught wearing those ugly ones :-) Hope you are doing well. I just had my six month hematology follow up and though they still don't know why the clots developed I haven't had any subsequent issues. I will remain on blood thinners for at least two years.
Thanks for sharing your story!
