I can not believe how fast this month has gone so far and it’s almost Valentine’s Day!
I admit… I haven’t done anything for Valentine’s Day so far… but I have Walmart to the rescue!
I downloaded Walmart’s Blow a Kiss iPhone application and have been having fun with it and finding great (and cheap) gift ideas from the store and sending kisses for my friends. And yes, you really blow in your iPhone to send kisses and get new gift ideas.
In addition to the gift ideas from the stores, the Walmart community shares great Valentine’s Day tips and you can even send your own personalized Valentine’s Day cards at Walmart.com.

I’m making cards for my husband and my kids, which will of course have hearts all over them. I’m planning to set up a little “beach scene” in the living room, to give them their Valentine’s gifts… a surprise trip to Florida that we’ll take in a couple weeks, while our kids have a few days off of school. (I have paper palm trees for the walls, sand for part of the floor, and a CD of beach sounds). I have been saving paychecks for a while, and found REALLY great (almost unbelievable) airfares.
Hoping that this idea is good enough to win us an ipod touch (my husband would probably like that even more than the trip!)
Thanks ~
Laura

One year I was cheesey, and decided to grab construction paper and make an old-school valentine for my hubby.
Last minute gift…tie a bow around your body and lead your husband/boyfriend/S.O. to the bedroom!

My valentine’s day tip is to make sure to personalize the gift you are giving. Although seemingly obvious, people forget all the time that a little bit of work can go a long way.
I also dugg, subscribed to the rss, and tweeted (http://twitter.com/willowbranch/status/1206405580).
Thank you very much, and have a great Valentine’s Day!

I just became a new subscriber! Thanks.
I found some great Valentine’s Love Coupons – already designed and ready to print at: http://honeymoons.about.com/od/valentinesday/ig/Love-Coupons/
There is a cover, plus various “guilt-free evening,” massages, flowers, etc. There is even a blank one for your own special love gifts. A last-minute gift with lots of leisurely time to make up for it. You can print them in color or black and white.
Tip is to rent a movie, buy some takeout, and snuggle:)
Just blogged about it – http://babygetgreen.blogspot.com/2009/02/win-ipod-touch.html
Great give away! My best V-day tip is eat at home that day! The wait in restaurants is hours. Order in or cook a good meal at home. Bonus – you can have more than 1 glass of wine since no one has to drive. Then go out with your honey another evening so that you can enjoy your time out.
Was nice to meet you at Blissdom…even if only in passing.
I just tweeted about it!!!
I subscribed to your feed! Thanks!
Last minute idea (and cheap :)) – pick up a bottle of wine and a redbox $1 movie. Enjoy a relaxing evening at home!
and last but not least…the most AWESOME blog post ever!!!
I’m always a big fan of cleaning out their car and washing it if it’s a nice day — or taking it to get it cleaned out.
And I love making coupons for my sweetie.
Crossing my fingers! :)
"Skimba" is a Finnish slang word for skiing, and CO is for Colorado. "Skimbaco" is a lifestyle of enjoying every minute of life, where ever you are, and doing what you love - whether it's skiing in Colorado, shopping in New York, or sailing in Scandinavia. Think of Skimbaco as modern carpe diem.
Skimbaco® was founded by lifestyle expert Katja Presnal in 2006.

Last-minute gift tip: Bake, bake bake! My family and friends share the same sweet tooth. Even brownies baked from a 99-cent mix are a huge hit with everyone. And so easy–five minutes from mix to oven. Don’t let Madison Avenue make you feel guilty by letting you believe you must spend big bucks to please another person.
