Last week kids and me attended to a very cool event, a Family Play Day with Kool-Aid and KaBOOM! hosted by our friends from Role Mommy, here her video of the event for you to enjoy.
The event was to kick off a cool campaign by KaBOOM! and Kool-Aid to promote the national Play Day. The KaBOOM! Play Day is a free, fun-for-the-whole-family outdoor event that celebrates play. It’s a day to gather at your favorite park or playground and play with your community, and KaBOOM! is encouraging you to host one during September 19 – September 27th. Kool-Aid and KaBOOM! have been partnering for a few years, and I was pretty impressed how much they have helped communities around the nation by building playgrounds and encouraging children play.
Kool-Aid and KaBOOM! have:
o built 25 playgrounds with deserving communities
o provided grants for a further 20 community-led playground projects
o trained over 200 community volunteers
o mobilized more than 7,000 volunteers
o given over a quarter-million children a great place to play over the life of the playgrounds

So how can you be part of this?
Sign up to host your own Play Day, and Kool-Aid might send you a Play Day kit, a box of fun-filled games and gear to help them plan an amazing Play Day in their neighborhood. You can create your own Play Day as you wish, have fun with BBQ’s, hula hoop contests, tug-of-wars or Kool-Aid stands – what ever feels right for you!
