I got lucky... (and I needed cheap cause I worked in food service and ruined them quickly) Then WM quit carrying those and I was lost. I went through tons of jeans before finding one I like, and now that I know what it is, I can hop on Ebay and find the same size, style, and color and buy them much cheaper than retail. And you're so right, the higher prices you pay for quality make the item cheaper in the long run!! I had trouble with jeans for years, until WalMart started carrying a certain cut from Jordache.
