While the weather is getting nicer and spring is getting closer – there is still time to cozy up in the front of the fireplace and enjoy the colder winter nights. Yes, I said enjoy! Living life to the fullest is enjoying what we have right now and making the absolutely best out of it. Thus – there is still plenty of time to enjoy the warmth and coziness of fire as a design element this winter and spring. Some of these portable fireplaces you can possibly even continue it to the summer, and move the fire to your back porch! And the best – these fireplaces do not need a vent and no major renovations, they are all ventless.
Planika offers an amazing selection of ventless fireplace options, like the coffee table fireplace in the picture above.
If you like the idea of tabletop fireplace but the previous is a little too much for you, I also love the smaller version here.. This tabletop fireplace ($380) is designed by Gido Wahrmann for Carl Mertens, and this tabletop fireplace consists of two 7.5″ stainless steel oil lamps anchored to a 10″ x 14″ slate base.
Avani tabletop fireplace ($415) is another great product to enjoy fireplace in any room. It looks modern, gives warmth, it’s ventless and easy to move from room to room. You could easily move this to your back porch on colder spring and summer nights.
If you are looking for larger fireplaces, the Ilkka Suppanen’s Fireplace for Iittala ($1,290) is a modern masterpiece.
Roll Rollfire ($3,800) is probably my favorite product of all – it literally is fire that you can roll from room to room. The ball bearings and gravity will keep the fuel tank horizontally level with the movement of the frame and fueled with Bio-alcohol, it burns without smoke, residue or odor. It produces only water vapor and carbon dioxide as a combustion by-product, so a vented chimney isn’t needed. I’m rolling all over this one.
