Design Inspiration from LA's Paper or Plastik Cafe

Paper or Plastik Café in Los Angeles is a family owned and operated business. Mother, father and daughter team founded the West Pico Boulevard coffee shop, gift store and dance studio mix after traveling around the world for years. Yasha, the father owns the attached dance studio and event space for his exclusive dance training company Mimoda Jazzo Dance. Marina, the daughter runs the lifestyle/clothing boutique suspended above the kitchen/café. And Anya, the mother, runs the kitchen and coffee shop, and also has her line of clothing sold in her daughter’s boutique. You can tell even from the pictures of the redesign of the space that this family-owned business complex is friendly and welcoming.

The café is built eco-friendly using many refurbished construction materials.

All of the redesign and renovation is custom work for Paper or Plastik. From the wood and metal working, to the lighting, flooring, fixtures, etc. I love the look of the Paper or Plastik Cafe, and hope to visit LA soon.
