We are so excited about the ”The Great Gatsby” movie! This new lavish version by Baz Luhrmann is set to make the Jazz Age sparkle and prove F. Scott Fitzgerald still shines bright. The beloved novel showcases glamorous lifestyles amongst turmoiled relationships. Leonardo DiCaprio is so dapper as Jay Gatsby and the beautiful Carey Mulligan twinkles as Daisy Buchanan. The story is so timeless and the movie promises to be full of great drama, stylish clothes, and amazing parties. Get inspired and go see “The Great Gatsby”! Mr Selfridge arrives in style

Mr Selfridge has been charming us on TV in Scandinavia for a while and as we just saw the 7th episode, and I am happy to hear that this new TV show is going to start filming its second season soon. You may still miss Downton Abbey, but don’t worry, Mr Selfridge holds a promise of something completely different but with equal drawn to it.

Mr Selfridge TV show will premiere in the US on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at 9pm ET (check local listings) on PBS’ MASTERPIECE Classic. Mr Selfridge is based on a true story of the Selfridges, an American retail tycoon Harry Gordon Selfridge with his wife Rose, arriving to to London in 1909 to open a luxury department store Selfridges at what was an unfashionable end of Oxford Street at the time. The Selfridges is still up and running today and it has become known worldwide. You may remember my post from December and my Holiday gift picks from the Selfridges.

You might remember Jeremy Piven from the Entourage, and while I thought he was perfect for the role of Ari Gold, he fits perfectly to the role of Harry Gordon Selfridge as the flamboyant entrepreneur and showman seeking to provide London’s shoppers with the ultimate merchandise and the ultimate thrill. The show promises drama, but doesn’t really push the boundaries, but what I love about the show is the costumes and truly feeling like you have been transported back in time. It’s not about English countryside, it’s London – it’s about fashion, shopping and backroom drama of the most scandalous department store of the time, how could you ask for more?

Fashionistas may love the costumes of the TV show, but business-minded people like myself will also love to see how Mr Selfrdige pushed the boundaries in the business world to make his dream of something completely new come true. Definitely worthwhile show to watch for the entire family.

Muppets will take over Europe

My kids and I have at least three things in common when it comes to movies. We love musicals (Mamma Mia!), we love the Muppets and above all, we love to watch movies and say “I’ve been there!” or mark the filming location as one of our must see places. It’s needless to say that I was pretty excited to hear that the Disney’s “The Muppets …Again!” movie takes the Muppets gang on a global tour, and we can travel around Europe with the Muppets as in the movie they will be selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London. The movie won’t hit the big screen until March 21, 2014, so with luck kids and I are not just able to say “I want to go there” but “I have been there” by the time the movie comes out.

Disney tells a little bit more about the movie and how the mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. I can’t wait to see Tina Fey playing Nadya, a feisty prison guard, and Ty Burrell playing an Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon.

Daniel Craig takes to the screen in the 23rd film of the James Bond series, Skyfall. The film premiered at the Royal Albert Hall in London with attendees including the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall. Thus far it has received rave reviews in the UK and will release in North America on November 9th.

In Skyfall, Craig takes the screen as Bond on a quest to the South China Sea to seek out the film’s main antagonist, Raoul Silva. With secrets dug up from the past, Bond soon finds himself question the loyalty of his commanding officer. Read the full James Bond Skyfall movie review for the scoop on the movie.

I received these gorgeous photos and the video interview with the new Bond Girl Bérénice Marlohe from the insanely talented photographer Benjamin Kanarek. The photos are for Harper’s BAZAAR en Español cover and for the inside fashion editorial for the November 2012 issue.

We finally sat down with Bérénice Marlohe after a wonderful long day of shooting for Harper’s BAZAAR at the Palace Hôtel de Crillon, Paris, for a little tete a tete. We hope you enjoy this vignette as much as we did.

Watch the video interview with James Bond “Skyfall” Girl Bérénice Marlohe for Harper’s BAZAAR by Benjamin Kanarek and Frédérique Renaut.

Bérénice Lim Marlohe was born in Paris, France and she originally had hopes of becoming a concert pianist, as well as an artist, and studied at the prestigious French Arts School Conservatoire de Paris for ten years. According to Benjamin Kanarek, Frédérique Renaut and stylist Sohei Yoshida, Bérénice was a riot to work with, had a great sense of humor and very laid back temperament. She is the 7th French Bond Girl, and I personally think she didn’t get nearly enough screen time on the Skyfall (read the James Bond Skyfall movie review here), and her encounter with James Bond was cut way too short.

I love how Bérénice believes in fate and telepathy, and how she even admitted in the interview she had dreamed of acting alongside Javier Bardem six months before the Bond audition. After the dream, she knew that everything would be fine and felt a sense of peacefulness and calm. I wish my dreams of Javier Barden came true too.

James Bond Skyfall Moview Review

(Be warned: This James Bond Skyfall review comes with spoilers!)

News alert: I saw the newest James Bond movie Skyfall this weekend on a date with my husband.

Now, seeing James Bond before the US premiere of November 9th is sort of newsworthy, right? For me personally being on a date with my husband was even a bigger deal, we don’t get to do it often. Get out your babysitter’s number, and make sure she will circle November 9th for your house, because Skyfall is a date-worthy movie if any.

Skyfall opened in several countries in Europe this weekend, and was the most seen movie in 25 countries this weekend, and it has critics raving and fans disappointed equally. The bottom line: it’s probably not the best Bond ever like some like to call it, but it’s a heck of an action movie, but perhaps a little darker than what we would expect James Bond to be.

The movie starts as James Bond, played by the brilliant Daniel Craig, is shot and falls down from a bridge to water and dies. No, wait, against all odds he didn’t die, and without any explanation how, he survived. He just didn’t report back to London until the headquarters of MI-6 is being attacked and M, played by talented Judi Dench, is the target. It is left unknown why Bond didn’t report back immediately, and it’s also questioned by some why he even returned; announced death would have been a perfect exit of being an agent. The loyalty to M and the country brings James Bond back, but it’s M’s loyalty to Bond, or her desperation of finding the attacker that brings Bond back to the field.

I have always seen Bond as untouchable, mysterious and with a hint of charming humor on the side. Skyfall as a movie lacks humor, unless you are like me and count introducing the new Q and his geeky humor funny. Skyfall also reveals some of the mystery behind Bond, and Skyfall in fact is the name of his home in Scotland, where the movie’s grand finale happens. It is a deeper look into Bond’s character and much darker than your typical James Bond movie.

Javier Bardem gives an amazing performance as a scary former MI-6 agent Raoul Silva who is behind the evil plan to destroy M. His dark character brings darkness to the movie, and this time the Bond girl Sévérine, played by Bérénice Marlohe needs saving from the villain.

Skyfall included the jetsetting around the world in the beginning of the movie, just to get Bond sipping a martini and to get the girl, but it is mainly set in London and Scotland and has a strong British vibe. Interestingly one of the underlying themes of the movie is appreciating the way things were done in the old days, and that sometimes the old ways of doing things are the best. The message suits well to the 50-year-old Bond.

Bond Girl Bérénice Marlohe

French actress Bérénice Marlohe joins the gorgeous lineup of Bond girls in the James Bond movie “Skyfall”. Bérénice Marlohe plays “Sévérine” in the 23rd James Bond, releasing in the US on November 9th. We here in Europe welcomed James Bond already this week, and I am hoping to see it this weekend in Sweden. But before we see the gorgeous Bérénice Marlohe in the movie, let’s drool for the red carpet and photo call pictures of her.

Bérénice Marlohe wore glittering Elie Saab grey long-sleeve full length boat neck dress with a thigh high slit and a matching grey belt on the red carpet at the French premiere of “Skyfall” held at the Cinema UGC Normandie in Paris, France.

And also in France- Bérénice Marlohe was dressed in Alexander McQueen at the “Skyfall” photocall at the George V Hotel in Paris. The black sleeveless top with a feathered trim paired with a pair of white pants with a black stripe on the sides looked gorgeous on the star.

Last but not least, the stunning Bond Girl wore Salvatore Ferragamo fall 2012 military-green coat and Tod’s knee-high boots at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York City, and while this is not your typical red carpet look, it it by far my personal favorite and something easily to be copied.

This movie is totally out of control.

Rock of Ages, a comedy musical will be in the movie theaters on Friday, June 15.

Cast filled with stars, Tom Cruise stealing the show as a sexy rock star Stacee Jaxx, who is fighting for the Bourbon Room, a club in 1987 Los Angeles, while Patricia Whitmore’s, who is played by the wonderful Catherine Zeta-Jones, is trying to shut it down. Alec Baldwin, Paul Giamatti and Russell Brand all form a cast that you just can’t miss seeing together. Oh yeah, and it’s a musical and the story is also about love birds played by Julianne Hough and Diego Boneta. Re-live your 80′s dream and go see this movie.

The Devil Wears Prada Sequel coming in 2013

I can’t wait for this book to come out – and of course it to make it into a movie too!

Entertainment Weekly reported that author Lauren Weisberger is working on a sequel to The Devil Wears Prada called “Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns” and it will be published in April 2013 by Simon & Schuster.

According to Entertainment Weekly the “Revenge Wears Prada” picks up eight years after Andy parted ways with Miranda on bad terms. Andy is now editing The Plunge, the hottest bridal magazine around, alongside Emily, her one-time Runway nemesis turned current BFF. Andy is planning her own wedding to Max, a handsome media scion, and as the magazine world being as small as it is, she is reconnected with her former boss Miranda.

The sequel to The Devil Wears Prada will be published ten years after the first one was published, and while the author Lauren Weisberger had written three books after that, this is the only one about the “Runway” magazine and it’s editor Miranda Priestly and aspiring journalist Andrea “Andy” Sachs.

Video of the Week: People Like Us Movie Sizzle Reel

The DreamWorks upcoming movie “People Like Us” looks promising, and I wanted to share the sizzle reel with you.

“People Like Us” is drama/comedy about family, inspired by true events. The movie stars Chris Pine (“Star Trek”) as Sam, and Elizabeth Banks as Frankie, Sam’s sister. Sam is a twenty-something, fast-talking salesman, whose latest deal collapses on the day he learns that his father has suddenly died. In the course of fulfilling his father’s last wishes, Sam uncovers a secret that turns his entire world upside down: He has a 30-year-old sister Frankie whom he never knew about (Elizabeth Banks), and his father left a generous inheritance to her. Sam goes to look for Frankie, and as their relationship develops, Sam is forced to rethink everything he thought he knew about this family—and re-examine his own life choices in the process.

You can see “People Like Us” in theaters everywhere on June 29th!
