I can’t resist sharing these photos of the H&M DAVID BECKHAM Bodywear collection. Because I know you will want to see the pictures of the latest underwear for men, right?

H&M is also giving me one reason to consider watching Super Bowl. H&M will debut a 30-second ad during the Super Bowl to launch the new DAVID BECKHAM Bodywear collection. The commercial, what they call “stimulating”, pops the Super Bowl advertising cherry for both H&M and David Beckham.

The H&M and David Beckham alliance is just starting off with the Super Bowl ad, and the first collection is a nine-piece Bodywear collection, debuting on February 2, 2012 in 1,800 H&M stores worldwide. We can expect more from this partnership in the future.

The price point for the collection: briefs & boxers & tees $12.95-$14.95, long-sleeved henleys $29.95.

H&M David Beckham Super Bowl Ad

H&M’s advertisements are all produced in-house at the H&M headquarters in Sweden in cooperation with independent creative professionals, including the Super Bowl ad.

Mark this down: The David Beckham Bodywear commercial will have a prime position in the 2nd quarter of the game and if you are into Super Bowl advertising, I think you might want to see it. Meanwhile, more pictures from the collection.

H&M Bold Colors & Tangerine Tango

Did you already hear..? Tangerine Tango is the Pantone color of the year 2012? H&M is on it! Their spring collection has several pieces in this tangy orange color, for cheap prices that you’d expect from H&M. It’s easy to get on board with the bright and bold tangerine tango craze when it’s as affordable as H&M. Yes, this most likely is a color that you wouldn’t want to wear two years from now.. so you’re OK for getting your clothing and accessories in not so good quality.

You can pick casual or work day looks from H&M spring collection to get a vitamin C boost for your wardrobe. I guarantee you will feel energized and ready to live life to the fullest when wearing tangerine tango.

Vintage Flair

If the bold colors are not for you.. no worries, H&M spring 2012 collection also has a nice collection of clothing with vintage flair.
In the H&M Home Collection you will see rustic influences, like pictured below, and relaxed chic Parisian style, which also continues in the clothing collection.

Nautical stripes, denim and cardigans. Shorts, skinny jeans AND very flare jeans, everything goes. Denim with white for casual and dressy look. I personally wear this classic style all the time, and would recommend a better quality brand that will last for years to come to achieve this look – but if you think this look is just a spring fling, H&M is a great option.

We are happy about the Versace collection for H&M, but have one interesting question – will H&M stop Versace making killer jeans?

What Are Killer Jeans?

Did you already hear about the “killer jeans”? Jeans that already look nice and worn might have been done by using a sandblasting technique that is bad or lethal for the garment industry workers. No worries, all of the jeans that have the look are not done by using this technique. There are many other techniques creating similar results, such as chemical treatments, stone-washing, sandpaper, brushing or user laser. It’s pretty much impossible to spot the difference between sandblasted jeans and jeans that have been distressed using other methods.

Taking Action to Ban Sandblasting

Several brands have taken action to ban sandblasting, including H&M, but the labor activists were in rage this week and trying to get Versace’s attention and get them to ban it as well. As far as we know, Versace, Armani or D&G have taken no action despite repeated calls from international labor rights groups like the Clean Clothes Campaign and Labour Behind the Label. Hundreds of European and American activists are trying to get denim brands to ban the sandblasting technique and started a petition to stop buying Versace jeans and they even blasted so many messages on Versace’s Facebook page that they had to temporarily shut their Facebook page down.

What is Sandblasting and who uses it?

According to Change.org the process of sandblasting involves workers firing sand under high pressure at jeans and has been known to kill workers in garment producing countries like Bangladesh, where jean sandblasting is done manually. The large amounts of silica dust generated during sandblasting can also cause silicosis, a potentially lethal pulmonary disease, as workers inhale tiny particles of silica. Turkey outlawed the technique in 2009 and The Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), an initiative of the Foreign Trade Association issued a recommendation for its 700+ retail, brand and importing member companies to ban the potentially harmful practice of sandblasting in their supply chains in May, 2011.

Brands with No Killer Jeans

There are several designer brands that don’t want to publicly make commitment to a ban, or announce they will stop sandblasting, and at this moment after my online search I don’t really have detailed information which all brands might be using this technique. The good news is that several major brands like Levi’s and H&M have already abolished sandblasted jeans in their collections. H&M and Levi’s took a more visible initiative last fall and banned the technique from their collections and they teamed up with the International Textile Garment & Leather Workers’ Federation to fight the use of sandblasting across the garment industry.

International labor rights group Clean Clothes, which started a large campaign to ban sandblasting says the following brands have already banned the sandblasting or never allowed the usage of the technique: Adolfo Dominguez, Axstores, Bestseller,C&A, Carrefour, Carrera, CoolCat, El Corte Inglés, Esprit, Fabric Skandinavien, G-Star, Gina Tricot, S. Oliver, Gucci, H&M, IC Campanys, Inditex, Kuyichi, Levi-Strauss & Co, Lee, Promod, RnB Retail, S. Oliver, Scotch & Soda, Tiger of Sweden, WE, Whyred, Varnergruppen, and Wrangler.

Can’t afford Versace? Not going to splurge on makeup to look like Kate Moss? Don’t think you can be decked out in the same jewels as Heidi Klum? Well, you’re in luck! This fall, Versace, Kate Moss and Heidi Klum are all collaborating with brands that are not only affordable but also a necessity for your closet (or makeup bag for that matter).

Versace for H&M

Coming fall 2011, Versace teamed up with H&M to create a fashionable and definitely affordable line. You can expect to see from this collection leather, studs, and the undeniable bold statement Versace always makes. According to the Telegraph the line will include, “dresses featuring studded leather, silk and colorful print, with accessories including high heels and costume jewellery.” The collaboration will contain Versace’s high-end look combined with H&M’s reasonable prices. The collection is said to hit stores November 17th and is definitely a must-see.

Kate Moss for Rimmel

Also coming in the fall is Kate Moss’s makeup line for Rimmel London. Not many details are out about the collection but the Telegraph reports that they are still packaging the products and will have more information to come. Moss has been the face of Rimmel London for many years but this will be her first time working behind the scenes. According to Fashionista.com the collection includes an “intriguing array of colors” which will be great for a fall makeup pallet. The release date is unknown, but be on the lookout for this new line coming soon!

Heidi Klum for QVC

Another collaboration to check out in the coming months is Heidi Klum’s QVC costume jewelry line. Her collection is titled “Wildlife by Heidi Klum” and will feature 35 pieces including cocktail rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings according to InStyle. Her pieces range in price from $20-$300 and include semi precious stones such as quartz and opal. The entire collection is costume jewelry containing various statement pieces that are perfect for dressing up an outfit without a major splurge. Klum’s line will be seen on QVC starting September 8th.

Between the clothes, the makeup, and the jewelry, it looks like this fall will be a time for some incredible steals from big names. These collections are definitely worth checking out so make sure to keep your eyes open for these new collaborations coming Fall 2011.

H&M’s spring collaboration is with Swedish Hasbeens shoe brand. Swedish Hasbeens is known for their clogs, and the H&M collection will be 70′s inspired, and looking probably more Swedish than any other shoe collection at H&M ever. Normally Swedish Hasbeens shoes go for over 200 bucks, but the Swedish Hasbeens H&M collection shoes will be priced between $59.95 and $69.95.

“I love the genuine feeling you get from Hasbeens, from the wood and the leather, and also how they take something traditio nal and Swedish and make it contemporary and modern,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, who heads up H&M’s design department. “These Hasbeens for H&M fit perfectly with the ’70s bohemian look that’s so important this coming season.”

The faces for the line are Lizzie Jagger and Lou Doillon and at the ad campaign pics they are hanging out in a festival setting with a rockin’ model Josh Beech (a lead singer of British rock band Snish).

The Divided festival collection offers clothing for for women & men and several accessories, including random festival must haves like a sleeping bag, and will be available on May 20th. I’m hoping to see a few more photos soon… because the fringed snuggie tunic isn’t really my style. I do like the Boho look though, and the line is rumored to have cool denim shorts, the hottest item of the summer. And of course: the gladiator sandals, the other hot item for the summer.

Sonia Rykiel’s lingerie collection for H&M already impressed and made us ooh and aah.

Last week the Sonia Rykiel pour H&M knitwear collection displayed for the first time in a private show, and Sonia Rykiel’s collection will be available at selected H&M stores on February 20th. While I loved the Marimekko’s collection for H&M and Jimmy Choo offered several sexy pieces that I wouldn’t have minded owning, I think by seeing the pictures Sonia Rykiel’s knit collection is my favorite designer collection for H&M. While I can’t pull off the shorts or the knit dresses, there are several pieces in this collection that I would love to have and I can see myself wearing.

And the prices – very good.

The accessories are starting at $5.95 and the knits are up to $45.95.

I know, I know, it’s me again, writing about H&M and Jimmy Choo… And believe it or not – this time with a social media spin!

H&M is hosting a very cool contest to win a place in front of the line when on the launch of the Jimmy Choo for H&M Collection on November 14th. The contest is on Facebook and in order to win, you need to create a mood board with the pictures from the H&M Facebook page.

Jimmy Choo’s collection for H&M is one of possibly the most anticipated designer collections for H&M, in fact so anticipated that some of the pictures from the collection’s look book leaked recently against the Swedish fashion-for-less-chain’s wish, and H&M is now officially giving OK to post a few pictures from the Jimmy Choo collection.

The collection will hit the select stores worldwide on November 14th, and I hear the price point is a little bit higher than what expected from H&M, but so much lower than what expected from Jimmy Choo – making it possible for everyone to get a piece of luxury. I am mainly excited about the shoes and the accessories in the collection, maybe because I rarely party in sequin clothes anymore… but what I am mostly impressed by is the men’s collection. It looks very wearable for even fashionable dads.
