Our First Summer Back in the USA
How are you enjoying this summer? Here is what we have been up to. Our team has been busy living life to the fullest, and we have so many untold stories we hope to share on our site one day too. One day, when the time is right.
We are still waiting for the “real” summer to start here in upstate New York so we can enjoy the pool more in our backyard in our “summer camp at home.” Kids and I have some exciting projects we are working on,
Gabriella is planning on putting her art on t-shirts and other merchandise, so I am helping a budding entrepreneur here. Isabella has a full production plan for
her YouTube channel, and Kris is working on his own projects and training our new puppy.
We spent a weekend in Jersey Shore for Father’s Day, and visited Morey’s Piers in Wildwood. It was a fun break, and I liked the retro-vibe of Wildwood (my photos below are from the trip). We are heading to our old hometown Lakewood, Ohio, to spend Fourth of July with friends, and in August we are going to visit family in Texas, and I will also attend the Young Living convention. And right when schools start, the entire family is also traveling to Family Forward conference in Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

Skimbaco team is living life to the fullest
Reeta has been traveling all over Europe already this summer, between running her store in Helsinki, Finland, and taking her oldest daughter to play in tennis tournaments in Slovenia and UK, and with a few trips to Spain here and there… she has been snapping quite a few pictures of the airplane wings already this summer. More importantly, she has been able to find some serenity, spa and nature moments for herself too!

Satu is gearing up for her
big adventure in Faroe Islands later this summer. She has been busy at her full time marketing job as well in Norway, but she was on a kayaking adventure in Italy with her husband, and enjoyed midsummer fest in Finland with her family.

Wes got an amazing new job and is busy working this summer, but he took a vacation to Southern France before starting in his new job. One of his finds was the
Plage Beau Rivage, private beach in Nice, and he got some well-deserved rest before busy summer.

Leigh spent a vacation with her family on the Topsail Island in North Carolina, and enjoyed the beach realizing her kids are getting older, and beach vacations are relaxing again. Leigh also has been investigating
North Carolina wines, sounds like a great summer project! Next she is heading to Washington DC.

Welcome Nomadic Newlyweds
I am so excited to welcome Brooke and Wilhelm Genn of
Nomadic Newlyweds to our team! Brooke and Wilhelm are literally newlyweds and they are pursuing wedding photography career, and they will be our romantic destinations expects. This gorgeous couple sure has figured out how to enjoy life together, and make your dreams as a couple come true. I feel honored they also said “we do” for Skimbaco, when we asked if they would like to start sharing their journey with us as well. Stay tuned for their first post!

The Travel Tester and I have been working on the Global Mappin project for five weeks now on Pinterest, and I am excited about the project and all what we have planned ahead for it. It has been great to do the weekly live chat, and get to know new people on Pinterest. I’ve also liked following Nienke’s travels to Baden-Wüttenburg in Germany, where I was in a student exchange program when I was a teenager, and of course I love to see London via Nienke’s eyes.

I’ve had so much fun working again with Coryanne of
Kitchen Living with Coryanne this summer in the Avocados from Peru campaign. I truly loved the campaign because our family loves avocados, it was great to work with Coryanne again, and I love how we were able to add the Global Kitchen element back to Skimbaco Lifestyle, and I hope to do many more similar projects in the future.
